Welcome to the Willard Middle School Web Page!
Willard Middle School has approximately 390 students and 30 staff members. The Middle School's mission is to provide the academic, technological, and social skills essential for all students to become critical thinkers and life long learners in a diverse and ever changing society.
We are working diligently on providing a learning environment which stresses the importance of respect for self, others and our school. To that end we have implemented the research-based PBIS program we call P.R.I.D.E. This program is a school-wide system of support focused on modeling and reinforcing positive social behavior which is an important step of a student's educational experience.
Technology is available at the Middle School to allow students use of our Chromebooks or labs for research and the development of projects such as Powerpoint presentations. Teachers also have access to interactive SMART boards in their classrooms for general instructional use. Many of our teachers incorporate technology to enhance their instruction and provide quality instruction to their students.
We offer co-curricular activities which are vital to a well-rounded education in addition to the academic areas. We feel it to be most important for each student to become active in one or more of our clubs, organizations and activities. Many students choose to participate in outside events such as interscholastic sports, student council, band, choir, orchestra, cheerleading, academic challenge and dances.
We are in the midst of great change occuring in our educational system not only in Ohio, but across the nation. We are prepared to work collaboratively with colleagues, students and parents to help our students achieve academic success and prepare them to be a part of a dynamic global society.
